New: Apparition

My own sideloader, which runs on the device itself: on Vision Pro, iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. It signs with a free Apple ID, refreshes apps on its own, and launches emulators with JIT, which works on Vision Pro and current iPhones again. It reads this source like AltStore does.

Apple Vision Pro

Native Vision Pro builds have their own source: none are published yet. AltStore and stock SideStore don't run on Vision Pro. Add it in Apparition on the headset, or in SideStore's unofficial visionOS port.

How it works

  1. Install Apparition, AltStore or SideStore. All three read the same source.
  2. Add the source with the buttons above, on the device where the app is installed.
  3. Tap Free on the app you want.

The apps are re-signed on your device with your own Apple ID. A free Apple ID allows three active sideloaded apps, each refreshed every seven days: AltStore does that through AltServer on a computer on your network, SideStore on the device, and Apparition either way: through its desktop app, from anywhere over Tailscale, or on the device with LocalDevVPN. This page is static, with no accounts. It counts visits with self-hosted analytics that set no cookies.
